Question ATTN: Daily driver TA owners

What all do you have done to your cars? I have an 01 WS6 with hooker long tubed comp headers and flowmaster exhaust. I want a cam and stall but have a baby on the way and need to save money. Obviously my son will not be riding in this car, just want to get stuff done to it without spending thousands. I am just curious what everyone has on their cars that are daily drivers, how much it cost, and the difference it has made with performace, sound etc.

i daily drive my 2000 TA. mods are listed in sig. basically boltons and almost full suspension. car is way quicker than stock. handles better, rides better, sounds better. a lot more fun to drive haha.

from bone stock to everything in sig i spent about $950 on mods. found most of it really cheap used and installed it all myself.

ditch the flowmaster and get a cutout mwahah

2000 WS.6 M6

My car came with a K&N Filter and Magnaflow cat back. It was nice for awhile but I got bored. Bought an SLP lid for $90 and sent out my throttle body to be ported which was $65, and then bought an SLP Smooth Bellow. All these together made a nice seat of the pants difference which I am content with for now. I then bought a Short stick cause shifting with the stock hurst seemed to long and cumbersome, now it just takes a flick of the wrist to shift. I think it was $28 for the short stick.

I want to get an LS6 intake $495, SLP long tubes $1350 and a tune $450 when I save up enough, and for suspension, Koni single adjustables $851, Strano springs $275, Adjustable panhard bar $124, and Strano sway bar kit $369.

i've got a 99 T/A that's my DD from March thru October. if it's one thing i've learned about modding any car. do it on a budget! don't cheap out, but spend your money wisely. did full exhaust on my car(in my sig.), for under $800. it's all about finding the deals.
good luck with the car...and the kid of course.

With just intake, LT's, cat-back, 3.73's, ~3500ss, LS6 intake manifold, and a decent cam you can put up some nice numbers for cheap. This is the route I'm going, but I've also put a lot of money into audio, suspension/chassis, and aesthetics.

On the cheap..... I've got some pacesetters, ory, and hooker cat-back. It sounds alright, I get a little rasp, and I think my muffler has a broken baffle in it. If you get your stuff used on a group purchase off from a sponsor here you can save a couple $$ or so.

I've Daily Driven mine since new. It's just a basic lid and catback car but with the new Strano Suspension Pkg it's been even more enjoyable.
Also nothing wrong with taking kids in an F-body, my daughter has been cruising Woodward with me since she was 2 months old.
She's almost 4 now and loves Daddy's Car.

i got hooker lt's, ory pipe, and a magnaflow catback for $300. i also got some springs/shocks/32mm swaybar for $100, sold the front springs/shocks for $200, and then bought new ones for $130, so it ended up costing me $30 total. then i bought a ported tb for $50, put it on while i ported mine, then resold it for $60. then found my ssra for $50 locally. and got some spohn adjustable lca's for $50. only things i payed full price for were a phb and relocation brackets.

Your already at a good spot now with headers and a decent catback. if on a budget i would look into a lid and some gears and that will give you a nice seat of the pants gain. Next i would do an ls6 intake and a nice stall. A stall will give you the most bang for the buck going from stock to something like 3200+ for huge gain and street fun. Once you got these things done i would then look into a cam swap and heads while you got everything apart dont work backwards and do the cam first.

my suggestion.
