its been said that the regular firebird front and tail are more aerodynamically "clean", and that its spoiler is a way better basis for a drag racing spoiler than the "open" design of the T/A spoiler, the T/A spoiler being more of a "splitter" than a true "spoiler". not sure if my terms are correct, but when you visualize the airflow in your head, it kind of makes sense that the firebird would be easier to get through the air at speed. the T/A spoiler looks like an upside down airfoil that would kill a little top end speed.

i have heard people talk about this before.. as it does make sense, what kind of difference is there..

are you talking gaining .00001 in E/T and .0001 MPH... or something of a substantial difference..

besides looks i dont reall see it mattering.... unless you are getting above say 200mph or something, which most of us arent, especially the OP's POS...

well, when you consider the margin of victory in some races, i would say anything that can give you a few thousandths (.001) i would want. lets say i got caught sleep at the lights. i can make that instant of time back up on an aerodynamically cleaner car at the big end. i bet you some of the guys in the last LSx Shootout wish they had those extra thousandths. i think it comes into play way before 200mph. just my guess though.

then again, he asked what looks better, not is better, so its really up to u which u like. i could care less as long as i won.

sounds good... im just curious to see how much it really helps.. kinda like taping up the front of your car so you have no holes or anything..
wonder if anyone has attempted it before..
