2000 firebird v6 3.8L problem help! i have 2000 v6 3.8 firebird. im having problems with the Reduce engine light illum. also throwing codes. P0306,P1120 P1220 P1221 P1404 P1441 P1870 P1516 P 1515 p1514. most of these codes that i know of all related in part with TPS MAP MAF. so the vehicle has problem with long cranking then starting. but sometime just dies right after it starts. lack of power. and also sometime will die at a stop right after it started. also when it long cranks and start then dies. you will have to wait about 5 mins for it to run.
car has 220,000miles on it
so far pulled the intake off was lil oil in it. and throttle body has oil in it too. you know how the inlet to it has honey cone cover on it made of aluminum with it. well half of it covered in oil too. so try to clean it out didnt work. put a new MAP sensor on it nothing changed. also put a new PCV on it. now going to pick up a new throttle body on it brand new. with TPS with it .
posting this cause been reading all day and could find too much just people saying replace the TB. im hoping this fixes it. i will check my grounds too. thanks for help. open to any help
