97 Trans Am antenna questions?Help? Hey guys my antena mast wont come down its stuck half way in. I can hear the motor but the antenna does not move. Is there a way to just rebuilt it with another mast or gotta buy a new one because they are $120 for a new one on Ebay?? Any help would be appreciated thanks Oscar

You need a brand new one.
My 3rd gen had the same problem. Motor just kept going.
Get an NOS on ebay like this

If your car is a 97 make sure you get the right one since they switched mid year

you can get an antenna mast. i don't remember the part number but i got one on gmpartsdirect.com about 5 years ago. the only problem is that if the antenna isn't moving, there is most likely a piece of its gear down in the bottom of the motor and when you put the new mast in, it will sometimes not go all the way down (mine sticks up around 2 inches when its shut off because of this)
