Hello everyone
I am brand new here so I just wanted to introduce myself. I bought a black 98Trans am Ws6 6 speed car yesterday for $12,700 with only 22,000 orginal miles on it. The car is in amazing condition. I have wanted one since I was in middle school when they first came out. I will post pics for you guys later this week. The car is mostly stock with a mega flow cat back and K&N air filters. I also have a few questions for you experts. What kind of horsepower should this car make at the engine with the few mods it has, and what kind of 1/4 times should one expect with drag radials or slicks? Also do the 6speeds come with 3.42's? Thanks a bunch and I look foward to being a member here.

Congrats on your purchase. I think you mean Magnaflow and your car most likely only has one air filter unless it has been customized. 6 speeds do come with 3:42's. The car is basically stock so you should make anywhere between 285-305 hp at the wheels. The 1/4 mile time is going to be up to the driver. A few stock ls1's have dipped into the high twelves with great drivers and favorably air but most people will run between 13.5-13.8 until they figure out how to launch it. Good luck!!! Pics????

All LS1's make approx 345-350 HP no matter what vehicle they were installed in. Like said above these cars generally put down between 285-305 RWHP stock and 6 spds are usually towards the top of that range.
Best advise I can give you is get an Airbox Lid and an Aftermarket shifter (because the stock ones are crap). After that learn and enjoy the car, then later we can talk about more power.
