Have you tried playing with different oils? Some engines will burn one but not another. If Royal purple isn't working out for you, try something else.

yeah stop RP. I used it until my last oil change, and my consumption issue has been cut in half at least

Default oil consumption

I dont know if you have checked this but i was burning alot of oil for awhile and i read somewhere too check the pcv system. The pcv itself and the the hoses that run between it and the valve covers on both sides. I was burning around a quart every 1,000 miles. I checked my lines and the pcv and they were all gummed up bad i got rid of the lines and replaced them with radiator hose and put a new pcv in and now it doesnt burn a quart every 3,000 miles and i have 164,000 miles on the car. Just a heads up on something you could check cost me a total of $20 too fix my problem hope its something easy for you. anything else you need too know just ask thanks, ramair1999@hotmail.com
