i just bought a 1968 firebird and it has a 455 and an automatic and i want to drop in a LS1 and a tremec 5 speed in it. anyone done this and have any input or insight on the process?

Have you already got the ls1 you want? I have a block that's already been tanked and honed, and new cam bearings. also stock crank that has been polished and stock pistons an rods that are slighty used I can sell you if you want to build your own haha.
