how much was the malwood one, and which would you recommend to me? I am looking to muscle up my 6 quite similar to yours with a t56, plan on n/a but might turbo a while down the road

I'd say the mal-wood one is the better of them. But the one by The gear box uses the stock T5 bellhousing if you have that already.

Got these off ssclones (just google that). 3" inlet 3.5" dual outlet.

Really like the way it finishes off the catback. The guys at the exhaust shop were pretty impressed with the tips along with the low cost. They tuck up there pretty well. Not a quantifiable difference in sound, so I'm not gonna say if it helps in that area or not.

Nice and easy to clean too

Google and it is the fifth link down.

Link title is "Stainless Steel Clone Exhaust Tips"

I haven't really put much thought into putting stuff like that on my car. Needs a serious repaint first. More than likely I won't.

Nope, no LS swap. It'll remain a V6. I plan on a boost build later but not a remote turbo setup. Probably more along the lines of designing one similar to the APS twin turbo setups.

Pulling the axles to install ARP studs and gonna install the ta performance rear end cover while I'm at it.

Also, rear end fluid should not be allowed to stew overnight in the garage in your oil catch pan. It wasn't so bad when I popped it open but once left to the air it got worse. Good thing it didn't look like chocolate milk though. I'm just doing a series of things to the car while also doing the manual trans swap.

More stuff today...

Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads...

Powerbond SFI balancer. It's been waiting a while to go in, this was the best opportunity to do it during the swap!

Props to you for such a unique build. I do like those exhaust tips also.

On the manual trans swap are the pedals and sensors from a v6 car the same as a v8? I'm having a hard time finding a pedal assembly with sensors and pig tails.

What are you using for a brace on the firewall for the slave?

Sensors should all be the same except for the VSS. I'll figure that out later. The brace, haven't gotten to that point but I'll probably have to fab something up.

Hubs are all off. Gonna take it all to my dad's shop on Saturday morning, get the ARP studs pressed in. Put it all back on and then full steam ahead on the trans swap!

Beautiful man. I have a 2000 v6 car as well and its the same color. I just bought a 2000 formula too. Keep up the good work. To hell with all the naysayers. BTW i got 29-32 highway in my v6, and it has 230,000 mile on it and I have neverr pulled the motor or the tranny. My FORMULA doesnt get good gas milage unless im going on a road trip.
