Default let me know what you think of the new wheel

I am just trying to see if my idea was good or not. I acquired a 79 T/A steering wheel to put in my 99 T/A. Next i am going to do a hood bird and some old school looking rims.

I don't like it. If you like it that's all that matters though.

I love it!!!

But then again, I put a circa 1974 bird on the hood of my 1996 - so, what do I know...

When you add the hood bird and retro wheels, I think it'll all come together. You really need to get a restored wheel rather than using that cover, though. Black spokes might look better than the silver, too.

Are you going with the Year One Snowflake wheels?

What he said. A restored wheel would look better, but it not bad

Who recovers wheels? That wheel is actually gold, from the S/E 79 T/A. I took the pics on my cell phone.

I think it looks ok. Like already mentioned, it'll fit better once you've done the other visual mods.

I hated the airbag, and radio controls. So to do the whole old school look on the car i have been trying to find a hood bird. But i have no idea which one to go with. Any ideas?

There's always ebay (for single coloured birds) and phoenix graphics (for authentic GM-endorsed birds), but I had a graphics shop here in NC bring up a vector / line art version of a 'classic' 70's era bird, size it to my hood, then add the colours I wanted - cost me about $100 for a bird that fit me hood perfect and matched my car's Polo Green...

I'll just bet that a graphics shop in your area can do the same thing!
