I want to replace the center console with a unit that has cup holders. I have an automatic. Does anyone know which units will fit and from what year cars. I dont care if I have to mod the mounting bracket to make it fit. Any suggestions?

get a 6 speed 98-02 firebird console. it fits very well and even uses the same mounting locations. you can mod an auto console to work but its easier to just use the manual one with the boot. sure you wont have the indicator but if you can count clicks then you should not be doing this mod anyway lol.

ya thats the same thing in my 2002 ws6

check for some pics on thirdgen.org on people who have done the swap on their firebirds...i was going to do it on my 89 trans am but never got around to it.
