Default i need a lil help on 79 bird

alright guys i got a quick question for you i just got a cam for my 79 bird its bone stock with the 6.6 400 in it now the specs of the cam is 228/228 480 lift and 112 lsa i was wondering if i can throw this in without changing the springs on the heads or is that to big of a lift for stock springs??

It will work but u should have matching spring to go w/ the cam specs.W/the stock spring it will not rev as high as it should.

It is never a good idea to use stock springs on a aftermarket cam, unless the cam spec. call for it. Everytime I used stock springs (even on a cam that could use them) they would not last that long with new cam. It's better to match springs with cam.
