So i purchased a set of rims off of ebay, and they are supposedly genuine 96 WS6 rims. From my research they appear to be geuine as they are the painted/chrome combo that i only ever see on 96 WS6s.

What seems odd to me is the larger wheel hub slot; larger than the 98-02 to the point a center cap from the ls series will not fit. Given that the 93-95 were supposedly larger, maybe the 96s were as well.

Also, there is no part number stamped onto the rim. All i see is the standard GM 17X9 stamp, the GM logo, JPN, and 1 W7.

For those versed in the 96 WS6s, I would like some information to help determine the authenticity of these rims. I will post pictures once i find my camera; here is the link:

For mine to fit on back had to do little drimel on the back of the rim by centercap part to fit wasn't much.

Them on Ebay link look like 1996 Ws6 Silver Rims not Chrome or Polished.

Would anyone happen to know if the '96 WS6 rims had a part number printed on them? Seems kind of odd to me that they would not.

100% legit... I still have my pair.. Though my other rims have come and go..

how much did you pay for them? i might think of moving my set one day..

That's because they made those for many years. The 96 is the only year that was painted/polished lip, much harder to find than the common polished wheels.

On ebay, a polished rim with curb rash will usually sell for 120+; 200 if its a speedline.
