Default Identify this interior piece?

I just bought a '99 WS6 last week, & I noticed that there was a kind of empty spot above the cig lighter. I attached a pic I found from a google search with an arrow pointing as you can see. My car doesn't have this piece. What is it exactly?

Thanks in advance!
