Default ws6 side skirt question.

I have a 1998 Black WS6. I need to purchase LH and RH side skirts. are they ws6 specific? are the year specific?

Will regular trans am firebirds from 93+ work? or do i need 98+ ws6 skirts?

Thank you!!

If you are talking about the rocker panel mouldings under the doors on T/As, they are not WS6- or '98+ specific. Any year should work.

thank you very much!

any year 93-02?

Do you know if the plastic inner fender well and front plastic skit plate(covers rad and things, and hooks to fender wells) are year specific? i assume they are definitely not ws6 specific.

Thank you again

Correct on the side skirts, they are all same for TRANS AM 93-02. That plastic piece under the front is different from 93-97 and 98-02. There isn't a difference from v6 to v8 cars.

Sorry bout the wait, I hadn't looked in here in a while! As far as the fender well liner, I'm not sure. I'd thought you were talking about the plastic that's under the bumper. That plastic is different. I couldn't imagine the fender liners being different.

The plastic fender inner fender wells are the same for '93-'02.

You can use the the '93-'97 front plastic if you are willing to redrill a few of the mounting holes. That's what I did on my '95 with the '98+ front end.

BUT the 98-02 ones have the access hatches for the lights. The 93-97 ones don't. That's really the ONLY difference between them, right?

The side rocker moldings (side skirts) are part numbers 12369003 (right) and 12369004 (left). Both parts are discontinued so neither you nor a body shop or dealer can get them from GM unless you can find a dealer which still has them in stock. That happens when a dealer orders parts for a collision repair and then the customer never returns or the car gets written off. Every dealer has the capability to search parts inventory nationally so it might be worth talking to your local dealer's parts department. Otherwise, you'll have to find a junk yard that has them if you want original parts.

I have a set of red ones that came off another car years ago. They aren't perfect and I bought them for a "friend" that after I received them he changed his mind so they've been in my garage for probably 10 years. PM me and I can send pictures.

I just picked up a 2000 and both sides have cracks and the RH side has a decent chunk missing from it. Can you PM me the photos of yours? I don't believe I have earned the right to PM myself yet. Thanks in advance.
