need help with trans am i posted on here a while back that my ta had no bottom end power. after a while i found out when i take off out of my drive way it jerks into 2nd gear (it is auto) and when you stop and take off its still in 2nd. ive had people tell me its in limp mode but im not so sure. my speedo is off by a % too. i unplugged my speedo at the trans and it stays in 1st. i almost think the rearend gears have been switched causing the change in shift points and the speedo being off. i also had the security problem where i had to cut the wires under the kick panel and install the resistor and wire. this is a 1994 trans am and has the 4l60e trans and the 5.7 lt1. i changed the vss and it didnt help and it actually added a loud buzzing sound. please help i can provide more info about the car if needed

now im having more problems. 2 days ago my gas pedal stuck and it hit the rev limiter 2 times then i turned the key off (it was in neutral). then i drove it somewhere and took my key out and it was still running which i have never seen before, i had to pull the pcm ignition fuse out to get it to turn off. now today it wont start. it will back fire out of the intake and if i hold the starter long enough it will run on the backfires. i really love this car so please give me some pointers or a way to check my problems

well its only done the pedal and key thing once. today i went out and it started right up. i have no idea why it wouldnt start yesterday other than maybe the optispark could have got wet in the rain. anyway im back to just the tranny problem. some say its wiring, some say its a solenoid. i have no idea and like i said my speedometer is off too. this car is a puzzle
