Default 2000 TA: Can you tell me what I broke?

I was unscrewing the connection circled in yellow and the piece marked by a red arrow fell down on to my splash guard as I finally popped the bolt loose.

Any idea what this is?

Thanks for the welcome Paul.

I agree that it shouldn't have anything to do with the aux power. My guess is that it was already broken and when the bolt finally gave, it came loose. Thank you both for enlightening me. It will go on my list of things to fix once I'm done with this project.

I only wish that when I break parts, it would be that simple.

Default Where can I find this?

Sorry to bring this thread back but does anyone know the part number for this item? Apparently it's looking like I need to buy one for each side now.

Thanks! I went ahead and placed my order here. The other places I was looking at didn't really have a clear picture of the bumper.
