Default 69 Trans Am

I wanted to share pics of my trans am clone project so far- it's not done but it's getting close. I picked the car up here in the TX classifieds. Luckily after some fresh gas and a tune up she ran pretty good. Car came with a nasty sounding 455 and was pretty rust free. Plenty of dents but rust free. Here is the progression:

When I bought it:

At my friends body shop:

Finally at home after I put it back together:

That looks awesome! I always loved that body style. How much did you originally pick it up for, if you don't mind me asking?

I picked it up for 2200 with the understanding it would crank and oil pressure would build up. Luckily it was a pretty easy fix on the motor so far. Lots of pieces were missing since it was someone's track toy at one time but it has come together nicely

Yep, replying to an old thread.

Just ran across this searching for something else. The T/A clone looks awesome.

Assuming you still have it, please share some interior and engine compartment shots.
