Not sure if this will help but I have 8000K HIDs in my TA , I have 6000K in my DD G5 and they are allot more white than the blue 8000K`s , I went from the PIAA bulbs to HID`s and it`s deffinantly worth it BIG TIME ! BTW the fog`s are not HID.

Here's my 'recipe'
HIDs from VVME. btw there is no need to get the slim ballasts, there is plenty of room to mount them (save yourself a few bucks)
FOGS
1 x Standard 880/881/893 HID Conversion Kit
Output 35W
Enhanced Accessories: None
Color Temp. 5000K
http://www.vvme.com/hid-headlights/s...conversion-kit
LOWS
1 x Standard 9006(HB4) HID Conversion Kit
Output 35W
Enhanced Accessories: with Relay Harness (some need it, some dont; depends on if your lights are flickering after installation. I never installed mine though)
Color Temp. 5000K
http://www.vvme.com/hid-headlights/s...conversion-kit
Lenses for low beams
LMC Part # 36-0302
Qty x2
http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cd/full.aspx?Page=63
if the link doesnt work, then in the search bar at the top of the website choose the following:
“Chevrolet” – “Pickup Truck” – “1988 thru 1998” – “36-0302”
That's everything you need to order. Good luck!

Yeah, its relatively cheap. Now keep in mind if you decide to go with projectors (aka the 'correct' way to do HIDs lol) it will be considerably more expensive.
Everyone will say how much glare hids make without projectors, blah blah blah.. Yes they will naturally make more glare, but as long as you aim them low enough, its not a problem. I've never had a single person flash their lights at me, and after installing them I let someone else drive my car so I know exactly how bright they are (from head on, in my rearview mirror, etc). I wouldnt drive with something that I deem dangerous to others safety.. To each their own, but I love my HIDs
