Parking Lights = Headlights Up (Motor Issue I Know)...
With the stripped gear my headlights pop up when I hit the parking lights. But is there a way to somehow bypass this without a new motor or new gears? I'm going to the track on Friday and we need parking lights on so the tower can see us. I want as much of an aerodynamic advantage as I can as I am chasing 12's. I guess the easiest way might be to unplug the headlight motors 'til I leave the track?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Nevermind - answered my own questions messing with the car. Pulled both the fuses for the RH and LH headlamp motors under the hood. Worked like a charm.

That's what I did in my TA. Update us with your track numbers.

I think I found the reason why the headlights pop up when I turn on my parking lights! I was replacing a bulb today and realized how nasty the DRL sockets are due to water/moisture. As I was filing them I heard the motor engage - stupid me left the parking lights on. But, this tells me that with some cleaning, or new sockets, I should be able to get back to normal with that. Of course, my motor will still be grinding every time I turn the headlights off, but this makes things a LOT easier!
I will post my times/vids - no worries on that!
