replacing with performance parts instead of oem
Sorry for not being a v8. i'm need some input.
2002 firebird
3.8l v6
auto
only mods are catback exhaust, k&n filter and tb spacer.
I need a new fuel pump and the cheapest one is a granatelli performance pump. the rest range from like $250-$600. Will the performance pump last as long or will it cause other parts to fail prematurely? i know putting a pump good for 775 hp is an over kill on a 200 hp dd. but my main question is, will it really matter?
my weekend warrior is a 2000 ws6,m6, with mild bolt-ons and an agressive tune.

would prolly have to get a fuel pressure regulator... otherwise the rest of the engine will see the same PSI as stock..
Then again a 5.3 swap mod wouldnt hurt haha
