Default Amazing number of very low mileage LS1 Trans Ams for sale

Is it the economy?? I find it quite amazing how many very low mileage LS1 Tran Ams are for sale right now. 115 cars on Autotrader with 30,000 miles or less (a few exceptions, such as new motor). Driving just 3,000 miles per year (like me with 31,500 miles on the odometer) puts me 'off this list' if I sold mine. Laying out $30,000+ for a new Trans Am about a decade ago, and not driving it much, doesn't seem so strange anymore.
Here's the link as of today. http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...tBy=mileageASC

It sure looks like a lot of people are trying to sell their store-away toys....and even though those prices seem to still be up there, it is definitely a buyer's market and you can negotiate some really good deals.

Default low mileage Trans Am

I just picked up a 25500 mile 02 TA ws6 car for $15500.Very clean 2 owner car.It was from a member on here that went by Extinctls1.He wanted 17500 for it,and I talked him down.I took money out of my 401k,before I lost it in the bklink of an eye.

I'd partially blame the economy, family situations & folks just wanting something different. The Camaro's return has been a factor as well. I'm
definitely out of the 30K Club too (137K on the '00 & 158K on the '95).

I think the new toys coming off the line are causing people to sell their old ones. It seems every other car sometimes is a new camaro or challenger or 5.0

I think its because the economy... and seein that GM brought back the camaro and just sealed the casket on the bird.. guys think they are going to get "collectors money" from their garage kept queen.

I think they are all selling about 20 years too early... its only been ten years since production stopped

This is what happens when many people try to save one for collecting. Back in '78 a lot of people bought the Pace Car corvette thinking it would be a future collectors item. The result was there were many saved, so they are easy to come by and therefore not that valuable. Supply and demand.... Sounds like there is a lot of supply here, too.
