Default 97 firebird wiper nightmare

I have a '97 firebird, i have replaced the wiper motor and the pulse board and the wipers are still not operating correctly. The wipers operate sporadically it seems to me something electrical but i don't know?? Any help would be greatly appreciated

A wiring diagram here is your best friend. A connection somewhere is the culprit. Check any fuses and relays associated with the diagram of the wipers. There is a wiper timer as well. Very possible that this is your cause. Because they work on occasion leads to your connection works but isn't doing the job your telling to. Or you have a loose connection.

Also...I overlooked you had replaced the pulse board. Another thing I forgot to mention is the wiper switch. That's in your steering column. Again, start with a diagram (Haynes manual at pep boys or google search). Let us know what you found!

Rbarron, welcome to LS1tech!

You may want to inspect the multifunction switch (turn signal stalk) and all of it's plugs/connections in the steering column.
