Oooohhh...the USAF Museum is also close by at Wright Patterson, I might just have to do this.

Thanks for posting this up Dave! I'm a little behind this year as I haven't registered yet. Better do that tomorrow!

Just noticed they don't have Tipp City's registration set up. I hope that isn't a bad sign.

I'm hearing that Tipp City might not be this year. Heard that it has to do with street construction that wont be done in time for the cruise in. NOT confirmed though, just what I have been hearing.

On a side note, those that know about the Saratoga Lawn Show, that might not go on this year either. Just ran across that info on another forum.

Again, this is not confirmed though....

That would be a bummer if Tipp City doesn't happen. We enjoy doing some shopping there during the cruise-in.

If you want to stay at the host hotel, make sure you reserve your room via the link on the site in post #1 of this thread. If you just look up the hotel and try to reserve a room, it says none are available for that weekend.

I actually enjoy the Tipp cruise-in better than the Dayton show.

Nice that it's local for you! I'm only 2 hours away. I say "only" because I know many more folks travel hours and hours (and continents) to attend.

Scott, I emailed Sue Emmil and she said there is no Tipp city this year because of street and sidewalk work.

I'm in as a spectator for the 17th straight year. Not liking no Tipp City Cruise though. Maybe the work will get done faster or somebody will come up with another cruise-in type venue.

My parents live in Tipp City. The construction will start in March and should be finished by November. They are redoing sewer drains, curbs, putting in new light fixtures, and some other stuff. I don't see it being done by August.

That's a total bummer! Well the trailer queens will have plenty of parking lot company on Saturday night now

Bump this up. Has anyone heard any rumors of trying to get another venue to replace Tipp City this year? I'd imagine this Cruise In drums up quite the revenue for TC. Another other local towns stepping up perhaps or is everyone pretty much going to stay in the hotel parking lot?

I heard an unconfirmed rumor that the cruise-in will be at the Tipp high school. It's maybe a mile north of Tipp. The parking lot is plenty big enough, but there really won't be much to do. It's surrounded by trees with no stores or restaurants nearby. Like I said, it hasn't been confirmed yet.

This was posted on Facebook.

As of course most all of you know the cruise in at Tipp City was canceled this year due to Tipp City doing street and sidewalk repairs and upgrades and they would not be finished in time for the cruise in this year. B.H. -name edited- (a member on here) did a lot of work getting meetings together and phone calls with a few different locations to get an alternative set up for this year's Trans Am Nationals. The idea and plans were presented to the Trans Am Nationals committee (I guess along with a few others ideas) and the ideas were all voted down. The Trans Am Nationals committee basically said there was not going to be a replacement for the cruise in at Tipp City this year. They decided that if anyone wants to go to Quaker Steak and Lube in Beavercreek, OH that they can go there an hang out. There would be no awards or show or anything there, just a parking lot and that is it. So any alternatives or replacements for Tipp City this year were voted down and thereby canceled. I am sorry to announce this, but there is nothing more I can do about it and the decisions have been made by the committee.
So, if the event is moved the high school, great. If not, I think we should try to get a LS1tech cruise/meet up going if possible. There are numerous restaurants near the I-75 / I-70 junction that would work or any other type of lot/park would be sufficient as well.
