98 Purple WS6 or Clone?
Looks like it may be a clone. I've heard there were less than 10 of the true WS6 cars built in Purple for 1998?

I just did a vin RPO check on comp 9 and it says primary exterior color is black so its probably a repaint, also only had 3.23 gears and is an original California car too

I've never owned an A4 F-body, but I believe the 3.23 were the desirable Gear for the enthusiast, correct? I sent him an email. He states original wheels, thanks for the update.

You are correct. Only base model A4 T/As and Formulas have 2.73 gears, the gear upgrade was included with the WS6 package on a A4. Some of the base model cars had the GU5 option on them... my '99 T/A came with the 3.23s from the factory. You couldn't get a WS6 with 2.73s though, and 2.73 / 3.23 were the only gear choices for an A4.
