Default Volant

My volant finally came so I ditched the SLP lid and bolted it in. It was a pain in the *** to some extent. Had to trim the weatherstripping a little bit and fab up some bellows but all in all it looks good. I won't post a pic since it can be easily found on google. Just figured I would share.

I'm sure it wouldn't be much. ~5-10 hp maybe. But I don't have any numbers.

Yea mine was a pain also, but after adding a 3.5 x 4" reducer coupling to the volant Y, it finally solved all my problems with the filters being in a bind. I just finished mine yesterday.

I did a 4" to 3" coupler and had to do a little "porting" to the 3" side with a razor blade.

Even a 5 HP improvement for any CAI is high on average. If it's a ram-air type intake, it will add some power at highway speed.

As the A.I.R. pump only operates for like a minute or so when the engine is cold at first start up and it's not belt-driven, it won't add any power. It'll clean up the engine compartment pretty nicely tho.

Removal of the ugly hoses definitely makes the engine bay cleaner AND makes it a lot easier for plugs and wires. Glad I finally got around to doing it.
