Default Yay more problems lol

so over the last couple days my car has been whining when turning the vehicle and I just assumed it was because the weather has been colder lately so I did not think anything of it, on my way down to the store today my check gauges light came on and I notice my battery voltage indicator was wicked low, so I go down to autozone and they check my battery and alternator and turns out my alternator is not really working anymore so joy then as I was leaving it started whining again so I had turned out I had a small leak in the power steering line coming of the reservoir, so I fix that but now I am really low on fluid so my question is do you guys recommend a certain brand of power steering fluid and would replacing the OM alternator be sufficient or is there an aftermarket alternator that would be better?

and another question, do I have to specifically get a 98 alternator because of the ECM issues or can I just get any 98 till 02?

The owners manual recommends GM Power Steering Fluid (GM Part No. 1052884) or the equivalent. As for the alternator... depends. Do you NEED more power output? If not, why spend more than you have to?

Thanks I wasn't sure if I liked them or not when I bought it back, but they've definitely grown on me and I plan to keep them.

That SOM WS6 looks pretty sweet, too.

There are a few of them around here... not a whole lot. I mainly used my car for drag racing before, so I never went larger than a 17" wheel, so that's why I was not really into them at first. Gonna kinda suck to go back to having to change tires at the track.
