Default '02 rear suspension

I have a rear clunking noise from the rear suspension when I go over bumps. The shocks are new bill steins. Is there a common problem with these cars?

Tighten everything up with the suspension loaded? Could be something loose or a bushing somewhere is shot.

I had a noise that sounded like someone hit the frame with a hammer when I went over bumps. Everthing seemed tight. Took out the lower control arms and found one bushing was no longer glued in place. Replaced the LCAs - problem solved.

It could be a lot of different parts. My z28 had the same problem and it was the rear sway bar brackets

Could start by checking out those rubber bushings.

I have a similar noise, it's the bushings in the rear lower control arms. They are shot and I am just going to order some Founders arms.

probably you're bump stops. These fixed my problem.
