Default Coolant boiling over but car not overheating

Yesterday I took out my 01 WS6, has a LQ9 6.0 liter bored out to a 408, P1SC procharger. I ran it very hard and it was hot out, when I came back home the coolant was pissing out the overflow (boiling over). The temp gauge never moved. Could this be as simple as bad coolant? My friend told me I probably blew a head gasket which I have my fingers crossed. I do have a stant cap with pressure release which is about a yr old. Should i get a new cap flush and fill and try again or should I pull the heads>? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Same here, I think I had to much coolant in it. When water get hot it expands, so if it to full cold, it will **** it out when it gets hot.

Okay put a new rad cap on and took the car out. ECT never reached above 190 and she ran perfect. No boil over. Weird

The cap was probably the problem. If the cap isn't a good seal, the pressure will not build up inside and raise the boiling point. Your coolant was boiling at a lower temperature than normal because of the air leak in the system.
