Default Headers and tuning Q's

So, I'm sure this has been brought up before just cant find the thread. Some people have told me that once I do headers the car will be running a little rich, some say it will run lean cuz the egr or sensor is lower on the headers? some have even said that a tune will not be required cuz the ECM will adjust it byitself? So with that being said is it something that is on a case by case basis?

Tune is needed but you can live without it for a while.

It will run rich, also I ran mine untuned after headers for a year maybe? Didn't even foul a plug. Am now tuned though.

Anyhow I would at least get a mailorder tune or simply wait a bit longer if you are planning on adding more mods soon. Youll be fine with no tune as long as you dont give it WOT.

I'd personally go with a mail order tune if you're not looking to spend the money for a street or dyno tune. $150 and the car will run great. FWIW, I went with Frost for my mail order tune and couldn't be happier.

I went with frost too, awesome tune. Also I went WOT many times untuned with headers.. still no fouled plugs and they actually looked decent when I changed them lol.
