Default A few pics of our 79 10th Anniv TA - W72 400/4spd car

Well the TATA we traded for a couple months ago is finally finished. It was a nice car to start with and just needed some TLC and time spent on it to finish it, but I think it was well worth it in the end. Its a #s match 400/4spd car...PHS documented of course.

thats way nicer then my brothers, I really wish someone would buy it off him and save it if its possible.

FYI the wheels on the Nova belong on this car and are back on it now that the Nova sold.

Beautiful car, and it's the pontiac motor/ manual combo!

Man do I miss my second gens.
I absolutely loved my 79, it was an olds/auto formula.

Indeed, " '79........ is the end of the road ....... for horsepower.........overload" All it needs is a plate that reads, "IEATZ28"

Beautiful car!!! I had a '77 Special Edition and a '81 Special Edition. Back in '81.
The '77 was a 400 auto and the '81 was a 301 Turbo.
Wish I still had them. I was 23 years old at the time.
I almost bought a '79 Aniversity like yours, but the 400 only came with the 4 speed and the wife didn't want to shift gears.
Your car looks like roll just off the showroom floor!!!

Due to my age (46), 2nd gens have always ranked very low on my automotive respect-o-meter. As a young teenager, 2nd gens were either new (boring), or, due to their 11 year model run, ratted out daily daily drivers. The good news at the time was that they were so plentiful that a kid could buy one of these emissions choked cars for cheap and easily make it fast.

But this 79 TA is changing my attitude. W72, 4-speed, T roof and A/C - nice setup. Those seats look so inviting.
