Default What is the size of the stock exhaust?

Have a 99 Trans Am stock exhaust buying a cutout this weekend need to know what size the piping is

Agreed. You could even get some of those torque-tite clamps if you weren't able to get it welded.

wouldn't the 2.5 slide into the stock exhaust then and be a wedge fit and you could weld it?

You don't want to choke down the exhaust by decreasing it.

.25" smaller isn't going to be any more a wedge than the factory exhaust would be being .25" smaller than the cutout. Like mentioned above, you don't want to choke it anymore than it already is, so go bigger rather than smaller.

Well got the ordere changed to a 3 inch. I will be welding it on there and clamps to since the kit comes with them so i think i should be good now but thanks for the help!
