Default Cherry bomb glass pack

Would a 3.8 firebird sound mean with a cherry bomb glasspack is it possible to put one on?

You can put any exhaust on any car, Personally I wouldn't.

Just because a car is loud, doesn't mean it sounds particularly "mean".

glasspacks are IMO one of the crappiest sounding "mufflers" on the planet regardless of what you put them on, as exampled by the shear amount of RASP in the video linked above.

I assume you are one of those people that think the louder something is the better it sounds (I see this all the time with guys that turn the bass all the way up on there radios and every speaker in the car is distorting but they think it sounds great because of how loud it is), most of us are not like that, we want a good DEEP tone with no rasp.

I had cherry bomb glasspacks on my T/A. They weren't raspy and had a nice deep rumble. Sounded like NASCAR at WOT however. It's all about personal preference. Choose what you think is best. They way the glasspacks on the V6 make it sound a little too ricey IMHO.

This is similar to how my car sounded (except 3" x pipe dumped at the axle)

the v6 magnaflow and flowmaster (even tho it has crappy flow) are the deepest sounding exhausts for the 3.8 anything bigger is going to get some rasp no matter what, that said you can go with the v8 exhaust setups like the borla and add a second bullet style muffler (like the glasspack) to the midpipe to reduce the rasp some, not sure how it affects the flow and sound tho, but can tell you the deepest I've heard on the v6 sound clips is the magnaflow catback. also keep in mind the tone changes if you have headers vs the stock exhaust manifolds and will also get more raspy if you remove or gut the catalytic converter, so keep that in place.

spend some time going thru this http://www.fullthrottlev6.com/forums...-Let-s-hear-it! and see if you find a setup you like.

IIRC they were 4x12 3" in/3"out. A V6 will sound very different as apposed to a V8. I'd look into what Daniel Richards posted.
