Maple Red Metallic Rare color?
i recently bought a 2000 formula in MRM. is this a rare color? my buddies dad (a vette guy FWIW) said they didnt make very many T/As in that color, and even less Formulas.
Is there any truth to this? i do enjoy the color quite a bit and had no idea it was rare-ish.

i tried to browse the sticky at the top of the page but i couldnt find anything concrete. only that around 1550 formulas were built in 2000? of that, 72 were MRM. its a hardtop car, A4. not sure how much truth to that ^

I'm gonna say it rare because I've been on this forum for like a year and a half and this is the first time I've heard that color name. Can we get some pics?
OK, upon goggling it, there are several that color on here even the v6's got that color, so maybe not as rare as SOM but still not an everyday color.

it is a a more rare color, certain options make them more rare from there, Formula being the first, then the hardtop, then the a4, if it was a six, then even more rare, from there it comes down to which seats you have and so on...... there is a full blown thread on the maple red cars, search it out maybe we need to revitalize it for the newer guys, its prob my fav color, some guys add ram air and its a real head scratcher as to why gm did not offer the WS6 in MRM

It was a more-rare color than most. For most of the time it was offered, it was more common than SOM or Mystic Teal. 2002 was when it really sunk in popularity and barely beat out SOM for the most rare color for the year. Heck, there were even more 2002 CETA Trans Am's made than all Maple Red V6/Formula/Trans Am cars combined for that model year. No WS6 was ever produced in that color for any year and only four Firehawks were made with Maple Red being checked off on the order sheet and only in 2002.

I've only seen 4 other MRM Trans Ams in person over the last 10 years. 2 here in town and 2 others at the Trans Am Nationals in Dayton. Rare color indeed, but not rare enough or desirable enough to make it worth anything dollar wise, especially since it wasn't offered in a WS6.

I've seen ~2 MRM 'Birds around here, one was a Firebird, the other who lives nearby (see it often in the summer) is a T/A 'vert w/ tan top and WS6 hood. Not as rare as SGM or BPM, but I like MRM better than either of those.
