Default '99 WS6 (new to me)

So a really good friend of mine owned this WS6 as his weekend car. He lived in New Orleans and one day he walked out of his apartment to his garage and found the hood and radio missing. And there it sat for a year, he couldn't get it started, except with the 10 minute start and after hounding him for a year, he said he would sell it to me. I couldn't find a WS6 hood, so I bought used stock hood that matched the color. I rent an SUV and drive 10 hours to try to track down the issue and drive it back. I'm thinking its the VATS ignition problem, or the BCM, etc etc... to make a long story short, I found a disconnected ground under the dash that resolved all issues with starting. She is a beauty. She has no modifications, no molestations, just a few minor issues to be resolved, and I got a *GREAT* deal on her.

Here is my issue. WS6 hood, *HARD TO FIND!* I have stock hood, but it will not close due to WS6 lid. Is there another lid that is lower profile that will fit with the stock hood until I find an OEM hood? How much should I be paying for the WS6 hood?

I added some pics of when it had the hood, and a pic of when it was in a storm. LoL

Well good luck with it. Hope it all works out. I'm sure you checked into it's history during Katrina. So many of those cars don't show up on the Carfax reports.

I know the previous 2 owners of the vehicle. The car was in Alabama and Mississippi during the storm, it recently moved to New Orleans about 18 months ago, plus for $1000 I couldn't pass it up.

Great deal! Check out the sponsors on the right for hoods. The WS6 store and Afterthoughts are my favorite stores.

Yeah, I can't complain about the price. (Nathan, I saw your post of FB) The car is bone stock, I'm excited about doing some modifications to it. It also has a massive PS leak. I was able to track it down. The serpentine belt was rubbing the line that goes from the rack to the PS cooler. No parts store in town has that part so I'm checking online to get the part. Looks like its going to run me around $80, but I can't find a vendor that I like. Most of them get bad reviews. What mods do you suggest doing first?
