Default exhaust questions

Ok guys I need some help on an exhaust. Don't know if I should get true duals or a cat back exhaust. Want to get headers all the way back. Really like the kooks stuff is it worth the price though? And the hassle. I will be paying someone to do this also will it require a tune I plan on keep cats. Also what would you guys recommend.

A little more info on your setup would be nice. I have a 402 with trickflow 225 cylinder heads, a custom cam (247/251 .623/.623 114+2) and a fast 92/92. I have Kooks 1-7/8 headers with the Kooks true duals, no cats. IT IS WAY TOO LOUD.

If I was doing it again, I would go custom true duals. 2.5" instead of 3" with long resonators as intermediate pipes and then borla xr1s where Kooks puts their mufflers.

In that case, duals are overkill. They are very heavy and will flow way more than you need. Check out the magnaflow catback. Here are my suggestions
1.
http://texas-speed.com/p-3516-texas-...e-headers.aspx
http://texas-speed.com/p-378-magnafl...st-system.aspx
2.
http://marylandspeed.com/kooks-1-34-...-mc-p-782.html
http://marylandspeed.com/corsa-catba...143-p-430.html

Or mix and match. Maryland speed will give you a better price on Kooks products if you call them instead of ordering online.

I got a quote a few weeks ago to have headers installed and custom 2.5" exhaust ran all the way out over axle it's 550 for the headers purchase, then 500 just to install them and 750 for the install of pipes including materials, but then I'd still have to buy a couple mufflers and I already have tips but that would be another expense if you don't.

There have been lots of price break downs showing the kooks system really isn't that expensive if you break everything down because running duals isn't cheap especially if you pay someone to make em
