Header/Y pipe/Exhaust question!
Hey guys, I was curious if a 2.5" y pipe will still fit onto a SLP Loudmouth 1 exhaust? I'm getting the BBK headers/y pipe (it's cheap, heard good things why not try it) but I want the SLP loudmouth exhaust.. I understand the exhaust itself is loud but I really don't care. I mean, I own a muscle car.. That's kind of the point...
I just need to know if everything will buckle down right... Does the 2.5 go to a 3" at the end or something?

2.5 does not go into 3. The end of the Y-pipe will be 2.5" outside diameter, and you will need a catback with a 2.5" inside diameter. The only one I know of is a magnaflow.

If your heart is set on the Loudmouth, you will want to look at a different headers/y pipe setup. Check Texas-speed for low prices and pretty good quality. Just over $600 for headers, ORY, O2 sesnor extensions, and spark plugs (do spark plugs after you pull the old exhaust manifolds out. It is far easier than trying to do them after you have headers installed.)

OR as a third option, If you are comfortable cutting and welding, put a new merge on the y-pipe. Have another link.
