Default 02 WS6 34K with some mods...hurt or help value ?

I recently came across an 02 WS6 34K miles with some minor mods. I have been targeting mostly stock vehicles for lower mileage cars. It has the following:

Kooks Hedders and off-road Y-Pipe, SLP Loud Mouth 1 cat back, SLP Ram-Air Intake System, and a Cartek Dyno Tune .

Wondering what other's opinions if this would help or hurt the value and by how much ? Would help to place correct value on the vehicle. Looks like maybe the parts are in the $2K range new; my concern is that the car may be missing cats which will fail visual emission inspection.Thanks.

Depends on what the buyer is looking for but generally the mods do not help with the value of the car to most non-enthusiasts. You never make back anywhere near the money you put into these cars.

If the car is immaculate I wouldn't pay more then $12k for it tops!

With just exhaust I don't think it helps nor hurts the value in my opinion. In perfect plush condition I would say 12-15 thousand with 12 being a pretty fair price and 15 depending on how bad you want it

Thanks. This one probably will sell for more (ebay) similiar car just sold for over 20K (SOM M6 1 owner car) that had 10K less miles. However this listing is terrible and has little info, pics are not the best. Waiting to talk to owner and not sure about history (#owners, clean carfax etc), options, detailed condition etc. Might be a 2 owner car. Eitherway it probably demand some sort of premium for color and the fact it is a M6. I don't mind the exhaust upgrade as long as it passes inspection. If I found a stock car I most likely would add a cat back some time down the road as one of the only mods...but who knows.

If the car is immaculate I wouldn't pay more then $12k for it tops!
I am having a difficult time finding any 02 WS6 cars in the 30-40K mile range that are stock/mostly stock regardless of color and despite A4 vs M6 that are around 12K range that are immaculate. I would be extremely interested in finding a car like that ! Ready to buy the right car that comes along !!!

A stock car commands the best price, but if those mods are ones you'd do anyway, then consider it money saved.

And I agree that really nice WS6 cars under 45k seem to be bringing closer to $15k on up.

Immaculate low-mile LS1 WS6's, especially 6-spds, are worth(and are selling) for quite a bit more than $12k......

That's why I said, "I wouldn't pay more than 12k for it." Reading comprehension > you. The car is worth what someone is willing to pay for it obviously. To me its worth $12k, and I've seen plenty go for that as well.

Reading comprehension > you. Don't flatter yourself, I never referred to anything you said, just stated what I felt they were selling for....

Thanks all for your replies the more opinions and info the better ! Did not mean for this to become "what's it worth" thread...sorry if it went that way.

Regardless if anybody comes across any low mileage M6 02 WS6 cars with 1-2 owners in mint condition in the $12K range pls feel free to PM me....waiting for the right one to come along to jump on. Thanks.

He probably decided by now, but mods tend to lower the price. They make it so there are less people willing to buy the car, so the people that do want it have more bargaining power. The only mods that don't would be things like the skip shift mod that are pretty much universally desirable and easily reversed. That exhaust is going to be loud and raspy - most people definitely don't want it.

I think I'm the one that actually bought the car you're talking about! I did pass emissions with no problem, and that's hard in MA!! The only fix was swapping out headlights and O2 sensor.

Was the seller "Anthony" ? If it is the same car I stopped bidding due to some suspect shill bidding. I also talked to the previous owner....if interested in more info send me a PM.

So, I had the car looked over and tuned. It was A-ok and put down 345/355. I'll take it.
