Default getting a factory alarm replaced?

I just got a t/a and last owner didnt give me the remote. I had assumed that the factory alarm was disabled but I was wrong.

I lock the door and when I opened it I hear my alarm go off.
is there a way to lock the car without enabling the factory alarm?

and how do I get a new remote?

stealership?

You can get them at Amazon for about $40.

You may check the owners manual. I'm not sure if that feature has a programmable option on the car, or not.

Do you know that if you open the door, put the key in the ignition and turn it, the alarm won't go off?
