Hello, 1st time poster - modded TA Horsepower guestimates?
Hi. I've been reading your forums a while and wanted to know if any of you have any guesses on what sort of hp a used TA WS6 i just bought has? It runs awesome. I also own a 6.1L Charger SRT and this 2000 model TA seems to be more powerful. Didn't want to waste money at a dyno just yet so just curious what you guys think. Previous owner babied it and its in excellent shape with only 60,000 miles on it.
Here are the mods he or others had added from what I can tell and it feels more powerful than my Charger which dynoed at 468HP (with CAI and other stuff)
Trans Am WS6 mods:
rebuilt transmission
LS1Motorsports air filter lid
mass air flow sensor
kooks long tube headers with catted y pipe (air and egr delete)
magnaflow cat back system
professionally tuned

one thing to consider is the weight difference between those cars, as the charger weights around 900lbs more than your TA. Your TA is probably in the low low 300's with just those mods.

they do, but thats not what they put to the ground.
do search in the Dyno section and you can see the range of people that did a tune and exhaust and that might give you a better idea of the range you can see.
plus keep in mind if you have an auto you will loose a bit of power compared to the manual.

320hp was the rating at the flywheel (false rating, they are underrated, all LS1s make 350hp at the flywheel stock). When you put your car on the dyno you will see what they make at the wheels. It will be a ~15-20% drivetrain loss from the flywheel.
When we talk about power numbers on here you will generally see RWHP numbers, not flywheel hp numbers. So your car should dyno in the lower 300 rwhp (which will be in the higher 300s for flywheel).
What did your charger put down to the wheels?

Launching!
Remember it'll depend on the dyno too! There can be variation from one to another....my dyno #'s came from a mustang dyno so it'll be less than on a dynojet or anyother.
