No hate here but I will see what the extra cost would be for LT1 brackets. I think the mounting point is simply longer from the fog lamp housing itself. I know the housings are glass versus plastic so I'm hoping everything forward of the mounting point is the same. A simple extension versus a whole new piece may make it plausible.

Im not 100% certain, been a few years since I had my 96 TA but Im pretty certain the fog light brackets are basically the same between the 93-97 and 98-02, just the "neck" is longer on the 93-97 due to the longer front bumper.

Sold!

I'm sure 10+ preorders will not be a problem! Will the discount get deeper if we go 15..20 deep?!

What is the depth of the unit/housing ?
There are a few of us FI guys with front mount intercoolers that may want to put fogs back in play. These would certainly justify the fabrication of some form of mount/ bracket.

The real question is, will it fit & not pertrude past the bumper ( my IC rests right on the rear of the foghole opening), no extra room behind it.

The "front" is basically the same but you are correct as the length of the bracket is different for the 93-97 vs the 98-02.

We will certainly take output shots when we get these installed on a car.

We are hoping 10+ orders won't be an issue. Regarding a deeper discount, we may be able to do this depending on the final sale count. Selling 10 vs 15 or 20 won't move the price down since the brackets need to be made in a certain batch count.

We intend the setup to fit just like the stock unit. So if the stocker will not bolt back in due to the IC, this one will not either. A simple solution could be a basic extension plate to bring the fog light further towards the front of the car.

We are hoping to launch these within 2 months. The owner of the car we intended to use had a personal issue so we have a slight delay for the test fit. We want to get these in and functional for a bit before we clear these for production. Last thing we want is a rushed product and unhappy customers.

Very interesting. I may get a different way to mount my intercooler which will allow me to run foglights again... definitely interested.

Check the signature guys... I was one of the first to get the BLS HID conversions and love his setup.

Quick update. We attempted the first install of the pre-production brackets and new fogs. Unfortunately the tolerances for install were tighter than anticipated and these could not go in the same way the factory units are removed (from the bottom with the lamp out). We were working with a car that has just gone through a major overhaul (repaint, every panel rehung, etc etc). Body gaps are very tight on this car its possible the tolerances for this were tighter than the norm.

We attempted to install these from the front and while we could get one side in, the other didn't play ball. The mounting of this LED module are at the 9 and 3 o'clock position so the bracket comes out a touch on both sides. We could likely go with a smaller LED module but I personally like the look that will fill the entire fog light area and match the factory size housing. These are the challenges of designing a product without the car in your hands. We worked off the factory bracket but assumed/forgot the stockers could not be removed with the bulb in place. +1 for the LT1 guys though since there is all kinds of room available to install/reinstall without needing to remove the bulb. I bet with the mounting holes moved rearward, these would be a direct drop in .

We are going to try and source another car with an untouched front end and see if we have the same challenges. If we have the same issue, we will bring the car and bracket to the fab shop and see what can be done to make this happen.

We did light these up while slapped into the fog light hole and they do look really good with very impressive output. We will keep plugging away but these will need a bit more time.
