Help! Gauge Cluster Wiring Issue and VATS!
I have a 2002 formula. Yesterday the security system won't let me start the car. It happened many times before, so I decided to use the resistor method to bypass the VATS.
I took off the bottom dash covers, disconnected the trunk release button. Then I tried to turn on the key, and the RPM and fuel gauges start to twitch, no oil level read, and battery level is very low. I tried to put turn signals and hazard on but they won't come on. Plus the power window is very slow. If I touched some wires that made them loose, I would like to know where are they located.

Double check the battery. The volt gauge might be reading correctly. Low voltage can cause weird things to happen. Battery might have a bad cell.
Check voltage
Put on battery charger or jump start to see if it changes
Good luck

Even if the VATS is engaged, the lights still should work. I second checking the battery.
