Default Need help with the Raptor Hood!

Anybody here purchased painted and installed this hood?

Does it fit good or like crap?

I love the way it looks but I want to know if it's worth the cash. I just bought a 99 trans am with 27,000 original miles on the clock! I dont want to be run of the mill non ws6 so I want to add a hood.

Pictures and personal take would be perfect!

Paul.

take it to your local body shop they will make the fit as good as it can be but since its an oem replica i think it would fit good anyway

The Raptor hood is not a OEM replica. It's similar to the Firehawk hood with no external heat extractors and the bulges are more pronounced.

I have one and the fit was good and required no grinding. However I did have to spend some time to align the hood to the front headlights to make it level. I installed and aligned the hood myself then drove it the shop to have it painted.

I had mine installed by a body shop and they said that they had to shave the hood a bit because it was a little long
