I'm wanting to buy '96 Formula
Hey everyone, I'm new here but have been around GM cars for awhile. The other day I saw an ad for a '96 Formula 86,000 miles 6spd Black with vinyl seats and asking $8,000 OBO
NON WS-6
He said it had new front struts and rear shocks, new pads and rotors, new Pirelli's. New water pump, obd II comp., harmonic balancer, plugs and wires, alt., battery and neutral safety switch. Also has K&N intake and Flowmaster muffler.
Well I took a look at it, it has the normal chips in the front. The paint on the hood is starting to get the "crow feet." The left rear bumber was hit slightly as to where it made the paint flex and kind of dented the body around the tail light. There is about a 4" around paint spot missing on the right lower panel beneath the door (only to primer, no rust) and the front right fender beside the door is pusher out slightly, it looks like someone jacked it up wrong and flexed the fender. The driver seat has two small tears from just normal use. Otherwise the body is straight. I think it needs repainted. I only write this much detail because I dont have pics to show you all. Let me know what is a good price

I agree. I got my 96 3 years ago w/57k miles and no exterior/interior damage for a little more than that asking price. I say move on to the next one. Lower mile LT1's are still out there.
