3rd Gen Formula Ram Air - WS6 or WS7?
Unlike the 4th gen 'birds, the 3rd Gen Formulas were ALL fitted with the WS6 performance suspension & exhaust package right at the factory. However, they did not have factory Ram-Air, nor did they ever carry the WS6 badge on them the way our 4th gen brothers did.
I've added a functional Ram-Air hood to my Formy, and I'm thinking I want to add a nice badge to it. However, should I put on the WS6 badge? (Which would be legit), or do you think I should put on the WS7 badge that the 4th gen guys who are just adding Ram-air hoods to their non-WS6 cars are using?
Or, should I get a custom badge for like a WS8 or something?
i wanna know what my fellow Pontiac owners think.

There actually was an RPO WS7 handling/performance package available on the third-gens, so since what you have is the WS6 package, using the WS6 badge would be more accurate. WS8 was also an actual RPO on the third-gens, for order confirmation stuff.

Cool, and thanks. I didn't know that.
I think I'm going to just stick with the WS6, like you suggested. I've got the WS6 3rd gen package, with aftermarket suspension upgrades, and a hood similar to 4th gen WS6's, so it's all good.

My 89 Formula is nearly done, put a 402 LS2 stroker in it.
Next year I put the LS1 engine/trans I also have into the 91 Camaro RS.

To each his own.
Back on topic now: I'm definitely going to stick with the WS6 badge. Regardless of hoods and spoilers, it IS a factory WS6. With the hood, it just makes it look that much more like a 4th gen is all.
