Default question for TA guys

Does anyone know if there was ANY TA, firebird, formula, WS6 whatever with a LS1 in 97? if so, how many?
If not what do you think a 97 triple white ram air would go for?
My father found one up north and said it was really nice only 17,000 miles but the thing that got me is that he said the guy told him it had an LS1

I've heard the motors referred to incorrectly several times. Those who aren't into the cars like we are easily confuse the LT1 and LS1. Or they don't know what LT1 or LS1 means....

'93-'97 = LT1
'98-'02 = LS1

The only way to get an LS1 in a 97 T/A would be to put it in yourself
That could be one possibility why the guy said LS1 instead of LT1

'99 was the 30th Anniv. They didn't make a T/A until 1969.

Camaros and Firebirds:
93-97- LT1
97- LT4 (only in a few Camaro SS and Firehawk models)
98-02- LS1

Corvettes:
92-96- LT1
90-95- LT5 (all ZR-1s)
96- LT4 (Grand Sport models and all 6-speeds)
97-04- LS1
01-04- LS6 (all Z06s)
05-06- LS2
06- LS7 (all Z06s)

Like y2k_ta said, a lot of people don't know what they're talking about when it comes to engine codes. I've seen several bone stock 94 and 95 f-bodies advertised as LS1s, and I've seen several 98+ f-bodies advertised as LT1s.
