Default Help replacing Side Miror Glass (Pics)

(I hope this is the correct area to post this..)

A few weeks ago my Driver's side glass was cracked. Ya..it s@cked, but I was able to order up a GM replacement...Correctly tinted and all!
This is for 1998 Formula.

So.. I got the glass..
On the box the part number is correct
Firebird blue-tinted mirror glass (93-98 and early 99, with RPO DG7), LH = 10279516
(They pulled the part from my VIN number)

I'm still wary of replacing this thing. The last thing I want to happen is to screw something up and not have ANY glass.

Here are the instructions:

Here is back of the glass and the two jackscrews that came with it.

The instructions seem straight forward. But there is referance in the instructions about a stabilizer clip. (No other parts came with the glass other than the two jackscrews.)
Do these mirrors need stabilizer clips?

A and B appears to be where the jackscrews go.
C looks like 'something' connect there, but I just dont know.

Does any of this look familiar? Any advice? Techniques? Anything to avoid?

Thanks!!

I didnt get this piece with the new glass. Is there a risk of breaking the existing piece? Anything I can do to mitigate a possible boo-boo?

if you have the old glass it should be on there if not try and find a junk yard or something to get it. with out it the glass will bounce all around and you could risk breaking it.
