No leaking T-tops and better structural support. I really don't mind a hardtop. My Camaro was a hardtop and I drove that for 8 years. If you wanted to and had the coin, you could convert it to T-tops. But it's rare enough IMO, so just keep it a hardtop. Just think if you ever flipped the car. With T-tops, on or off, you're screwed. LOL. Hardtop just do some slidey-slidey.

Don't get too down on yourself....I had a hardtop Z/28 as my last car and I miss it....T-tops are over-rated.

I wouldn't call the two additional bars on the outer edges of the roofline as much support. All the roof structures where the same for both T-top and hardtop fourth-gens.

hard tops arent bad, the only real advantage is that you dont get leaky t-tops when the seals wear out (which arent expensive or hard to replace) any how it is definately a preference thing, if 530 trans am is serious about the trade and you want t-tops that bad id go with it, but then again ive never owned a hard top f-body. sorry i forgot, one other advantage w/ the hard top is that it is slightly lighter (the sheet metal is lighter than glass) but hey t-tops are funner

In the week or so I have owned my t-top, I haven't taken the covers off yet to really enjor them so in a sense its kind of a hardtop at the moment. I could take them off if I wanted but I still have yet to get anything tinted so that my seats don't roast and unfriendly people don't get any ideas. I say keep the hardtop, you'll make more money when you go to sell it if you run into a collector.

Something about rolling over and having a roof over my head other then a piece glass makes me feel a little safer. That and no sunburnt head.

I have always felt that a real performance car has a hardtop. I am pleasantly surprised at the newer t-top cars. They don't seem as flimsy, nor is there the dreaded t-top rattle.

5% tint on my T-tops

i got sick of the shades because i take my t-tops off a LOT, and they always seemed to want to fall out of the t-top when i would take them off (stupid velcro)

so i got the t-tops tinted about 6 months, ago and my only complaint is, why didn't i do it 3 years ago when i bought the car and had the rest of the windows tinted?
