Like my car!

Yes it is the lighter V6 Body but with LS1 engine and A4/T56 with 2.73/3.23 and 3.42 for M6. Non WS6 Formulas without the Formuladecals on the doors can be the ultimate sleepers.

Don´ mess with Formulas

Last time I did that, I got a drag racing ticket. Hey, I wanted to see if it was a regular `Bird, or a Formula! It was definitely a Formy!

To answer your question yes it is a Formula and yes that is how they come from the factory. The Formula's have always looked like the base V6 model with some very minor styling cues, over the years these cues have gotten to be less noticable.

If a Formula is stock there are only two or three things that are noticeable. First they have the 16" twisted spoke wheels from the factory. Those wheels only came on T/A's and Formula's. They say "Formula" on the doors only with a body colored emblem, hard to see when the car is in motion. Last they have a oval set of dual tips in the back.

Unless you know what to look for they can be over looked until you try to race one thinking it is a V6 and they hang or pull you. They tend to be about 300 pounds lighter than the T/A's if they are optioned with no T-Tops or Leather.

Mine is fully loaded except for no T-Tops, Leather, or Trac control and it weighs in right over 3400 pounds.

Good luck to the future when you racing Formulas on the street

They arent 300lbs lighter. Espically if it had options on the indise. a 1SC stripper car only weighs in about 175 or so lighter....My fully loaded WS6 with half a tank of gas weighs 3489....

@Darth Z

My Formula had T-Tops but no leather and no traction control

From factory it is only 20-30lbs between the lighter Formula and the Trans Am.

But it can be 300lbs when you have fat driver in an Trans Am and a small one in a Formula

The Formula also came with the low-rise spoiler.

Opps. my bad. It was posted on some of the other sites that was the norm for weight differences since the T/A came with T-tops, leather, and high rise spoiler/ground effects.
