Turn of caps. The gearing depends on your transmission, A4 or M6? A4 = 2.73 or 3.23, M6 = 3.42. HP for that year I think was rated at 265, but don't quote me on that.

265 to the wheels, 310 flywheel. And I honestly think, if I remember reading my RPOs, I have 3.42. I'd have to snap a pic and get them all again though to double check.

... there aint a 93 in this world that came with 310 at the flywheel... or 265 to the wheels. that would be close to an 02 ls1 rating. my 93 has slp equal tube, mid length headers, borla ory, full open borla exhaust, true ls1 ram air setup with lid, k&n filter, ngk plugs, and msd wires cap and rotor. and im makin 320rwhp and 340 rwtq thru a m6 and 3.42:1's... 345hp/360tq at the fly wheel... i hope those mods are worth more than 35 flywheel hp... as for the gears, only 6 spd cars had 3.42:1's from the factory. a4 cars got 2.73:1, or 3.08:1, unless you got the PERFORMANCE AXLE, which left you with 3.23:1's...

to get 400, go with full exhaust, intake, cam, rockers, and heads. that should put you where you wanna be with a good tune. 93 was the only year to use the speed density lt1, there is a website totally dedicated to these motors. www.speeddensity.org these motors are setup better to handle boost than the mass air lt1's. you might consider a s/c or my choice... sts 67trim remote mounted turbo. that too would put you in your power needs.

lol Marv, don't hijack everyones threads You've asked about that in 3 threads now, your own and 2 others.

The 93, as said is speed density, which means another thing, that it has a different intake and fuel lines.

Actually speed density mean the ECM does not use a MAF to calculate the fueling. Instead the car uses th TPS, RPMS, AIT, and MAP and baised on load, rpms's, and throttle position it determines where at in the fuel and spark map it should use.

Speed density does not compensate well with mods where as Mass Air has the ability to compensate for most mods.
