Default Distributors and wiring

There is a problem with distributor and wiring. There are 1989 pontiac firebird with replaced engine V8 5.0l (maybe LB9, I'm not sure, with 5-speed manual gearbox). Most of wires are cutted, so I need wiring diagram. And the second problem is distributor (in it a few parts is missing). Distributor are delco-remy with internal coil, so I need information about it. I have second one distributor from bigblock (with internal electronic commutator), but I don't how conect it. There is a picture of Delco-Remy distributor.

Yours, if it's a TBI, I'm pretty darn sure (in 89) that it's not an HEI (which is the style pictured) distributor. If it's carb, then it shouldn't matter since it's not computer controlled.

If it's TBI or TPI, then it'll look like a normal chevy distributor cap, but on the side of the distributor it'll ahve 2 plugs. If you have a TBI, yours is the taller LEFT one, if you have TPI you NEED the shorter RIGHT one. Clearance issues.

The car was bought without engine, what was the original engine I don't know. Now in the car is V8 engine with remade inlet mainfold with 8 carbs for every cilynder. Problem is with distributor, in the picture distributor is empty no rotor, no coil no other parts. So I need information what was inside. In my country Firebird is rare car especialy V8, hard to find information and parts. I appreciate any information about engine, car. I have other distributor, but it won't work without ecu.
And one more question about rpm. What is maximum rpm for 5 litre engine?

Max for a totally stock 5L is like 5500-6000 rpm. If you do a lot of work to it, you can get 8000rpm out of it. As far as running 8 Carb velocity stack, I don't really see the point

You'll want to run that HEI distributor in your picture. Hopefully these will help you a bit.

They're very easy to wire up. All you need is ground, power, and vacuum for the timing advance.
